Welcome to the Zahid Mubarek Trust website. The Trust has been set up by the Mubarek family in memory of their beloved son Zahid Mubarek. Zahid was brutally murdered whilst in the care of Feltham Young Offenders Institute in 2000 in an unprovoked racist attack. As well as monitoring the recommendations of the Zahid Mubarek Inquiry, our main aim is to campaign for a more humane penal system. We are especially concerned with those most vulnerable and in need of support. Please read on to see the unique work we are undertaking and how you can get involved.
